There is a few sections at tournaments for fighting ie semi contact points, points continuous points, Light continuous, full contact. I know everyone has there preferences to which they like i personally like semi contact points and i know some like continuous. Whats your opinion on what you think is best?

this is a real tricky one , i think competing is soo important.
BUT (another but).
these are cosderd "combat sports" and combat is a important word in our worlds.
so i don't see the point PERSONALLY (you notice the word personally)
for ME to compete in anything other than full contact .
all bout's that i have been in were all full contact .
i see them as a testing ground , and a place where i can push my boundaries, and comfort zone.
BUT ( here he goes again ) i can also see the reasons that alot of people want to compete in non and semi .
for sport maybe, I'll leave that to them to explain.
but i have great memories of the fights i have had , and the personal achievements .the adrenaline and nerve's .
i have been lucky to have not lost a bout , in some case's i wish i had as i think it would have been a great experience too . i have been very lucky .
cheers
matt

posted by kempo kid

I have just organized and run a full contact combat jujitsu (kempo) world championships, with limited rules. It was really good and my guys came away with loads of medals I am adapting it at the moment to include a wider range of people and age ranges starting from 6 that is semi contact so it promises to be superb
