Really contentious (yes I checked the spelling) bit

I've just got Sky and i finally got round to watching this MMA, seems like Big Daddy isn't dead after all.
The bits I saw apart from one fight which was Thai with grappliing and great fun, it was just big fat blokes rolling about trying to twist each others extremites.
Some bonehead was giving this commentry and I didn't understand a word.
So guys come, enlighten me, why is better than full contact kickboxing - which I fought and that was elegant or Muay Thai which I later trained in which is just brutal.
I really want to know what's the buzz about two fat blokes rolling round in a cage, I see more skill in Millom square at 2pm when the rugger buggers kick off and they make me laugh out loud.

I remember when this first came out..it was very interesting as each fighter had his own set of skills.

I remember watching some dutch judoka fighting a german kickboxer.

That was interesting to watch to very different fighters trying to compete.

These days it seems all the same. I have a lot of friends who watch it and swear blind that teh level of skill is awesome.

I find it fails to grasp my interest. I sometimes think it does more harm to the martial arts community than good.

There was an article in a local paper where a AM has said itis barbaric and is nothing more then human **** fighting. A member of the MMA has stepped forward to defend it, using his ring name of 'Rhino'
